According to The Daily Mail, Ipswich Town are set to make a £500,000 bid for Blackpool midfielder Brad Potts when the transfer window re-opens in January.
A number of Championship clubs are interested in Potts, according to this report by the Daily Mail, but Mick McCarthy is confident that Ipswich can win the race for his signature.
Brad Potts has been an integral part of Blackpool’s side since joining for £250,000 from Carlisle in summer 2015.
The towering central midfielder had played over 100 league games for Carlisle since breaking into the first team as a teenager.
Potts is very versatile and can play as a centre back, a holding midfielder or a central midfielder as well as his advanced central attacking midfielder role he is being deployed in at Bloomfield Road at the moment.
His tally of six goals and five assists rank him among the top goal creators and scorers in the fourth tier at the moment.
The 22-year-old has a further two goals in cup competitions this year.
The once-capped former England under-19 international has been watched by many scouts this season and his impressive performances have not gone unnoticed.
Blackpool will be reluctant to lose Potts but any substantial bids will be difficult to turn down for the League Two promotion hopefuls.
