Ipswich Town are closing in on the signing of Glasgow Rangers striker Joe Garner, according to The Daily Mail.
Joe Garner is set to be offloaded by Rangers with manager Pedro Caixinha ringing the changes this summer.
Caixinha wants to put his own personal mark on this Rangers squad and build a team which is capable of competing with Celtic again.
In order to do so, he is ready to sell a number of players, including Joe Garner.
Garner joined Rangers last summer, signing a three year deal with the Gers.
However, he is now set to head for the exit door less than twelve months later with Ipswich Town closing in on his signing.
The 29-year-old has plenty of experience in England, having played for Carlisle United, Nottingham Forest, Watford and Preston North End among others.
His most prolific campaign came in League One, where he netted 25 goals for Preston to fire them to promotion, winning the League One Player of the Year as well.
Last season, Garner struck ten goals in 34 appearances for Rangers but he is set to leave the Scottish Premiership outfit this summer with Pedro Caixinha ready to sign other attackers such as HJK Helsinki striker Alfredo Morelos.
Ipswich Town are looking to add more firepower to their squad and they will be hoping that Joe Garner can score the goals to fire them up the league table.
