According to the Ipswich Star, Championship side Ipswich Town are set to complete the signing of Forest Green Rovers striker Kieffer Moore, which would be the club’s first signing of the January transfer window.

The 6 foot 5 inch tall forward can also play at centre back and he has ten goals to his name from 21 appearances this season for the National League outfit.

The 24-year-old began his career at Truro City but made a move to Dorchester before signing for Yeovil Town in 2013, netting seven goals in 50 matches for the Glovers during his two years at Huish Park.

Moore signed for Forest Green Rovers last January after a one year stint in Norway, and his current contract expires in the summer.

It is understood that the striker will undergo a medical on Saturday morning and will be watching Ipswich Town’s home encounter to Blackburn Rovers.

Reports also suggest manager Mick McCarthy has lodged seven-figure bids for three other attacking players, with Barnsley’s Marley Watkins and Preston North End’s Jordan Hugill being two of them.

Ipswich Town fans, are you happy with the signing of Kieffer Moore? Is he the player to improve your season? What strikers should McCarthy also be looking to complete deals for? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
