Ipswich Town planning move for talented Charlton midfielder

Published

It has emerged from an exclusive report by the South London Press that Ipswich Town has expressed their interest in signing Charlton Athletic’s Callum Harriott.

Although Charlton have expressed their interest in keeping Callum Harriott at the club, it is looking unlikely as the 22-year-old has already attracted attention from a number of Championship clubs across the summer and it is set to continue throughout the summer.

Barnsley have already reportedly had a bid rejected for the 22-year-old and now Mick McCarthy’s side has joined the race to sign the dynamic winger.

Mick McCarthy has identified the wide positions as a position that needs addressing and after missing out on Bolton’s Liam Feeney, who opted to move to Blackburn Rovers, Ipswich’s attention may now turn to Harriott.

Although Callum Harriott may not be the marquee signing that some fans want to see, Mick McCarthy may favour making a move for Callum Harriott who could prove to be an astute low-risk, low-cost purchase.

Ipswich fans, how do you feel about the news? Would you like to see to see Callum Harriott join your side? Is he the type of signing you want to see Mick McCarthy making? Is there better options out there, if so, who? Let us hear your thoughts and opinions in the comment section below!
