Ipswich Town interested in summer signing of fellow Championship midfielder

Ipswich Town could be set to make a move for Hull City midfielder David Meyler, according to the Green Un.

The Tractor Boys are looking at signing the experienced Irishman in the summer, with Meyler this week confirming on social media that he will be on his way out of the K-Com during the next transfer window.

Ipswich manager Mick McCarthy will be keen to add some quality to the ranks over the summer and will see Meyler as the ideal signing, with funds tight and an emphasis on youth being given a chance at Portman Road.

Meyler has bags of experience both in the top flight and in the Championship, having impressive for the Tigers and previously being with Sunderland during their prolonged spell in the Premier League.

Hull themselves will be looking to clear the decks this summer, and with relegation looming, they could well be forced into some decisions as manager Nigel Adkins looks to steady the ship over the coming months and get the club prepared for being in either league next term.

Ipswich fans, what do you make of this? Would Meyler be a good signing? Let us know!
