According to Fox Sports Netherlands, De Graafschap midfielder Bryan Smeets is likely to leave the club in the summer with Sky Bet Championship outfit Ipswich Town in the frame to land him.
Bryan Smeets is out of contract with Dutch Eredivisie side De Graafschap in the summer and is keen to move away to further his career.
The 24-year-old is attracting interest from other sides in the Dutch top division but is also being tracked by Ipswich Town, according to this report.
Smeets is renowned as a tough tackling defensive midfielder who would add steel to the Ipswich midfield if he made the switch to the English second tier.
As well as doing his job as a holding midfielder, the Dutchman also possesses other qualities and he picked up three goals and nine assists this season.
Smeets has spent two years in the top tier of Dutch football after joining from his hometown club MVV Maastricht (who play in the division below) in 2015.
