Ipswich Town midfielder, Alan Judge has recently been the subject of interest from Championship side, QPR heading into the new season according to the East Anglian Daily Times.

Judge made 19 appearances for the Tractor Boys last season, but struggled to find his best form after making a long-awaited return to action from an injury lay-off.

But QPR have seemingly been pleased with what they have seen from the Irishman, and have seen their second bid of £450,000 rejected by Paul Lambert's side.

Lambert recently revealed (quotes sourced from the East Anglian Daily Times) that Judge has voiced his intentions to leave the club though, which will surely see QPR make further enquiries into signing the midfielder before the transfer window closes.

"It's his prerogative to say what he wants to do, but I don't know the state of where that's at.

"He's spoken to me and I guess it's over to Judgey to see what he wants to do. I think he wants to go."

This latest update will be hugely frustrating for the Portman Road faithful, who will have been keen to see Judge remain with the club heading into next year's campaign.

Ipswich are likely to be one of the favourites to win promotion from League One, and if they can keep players like Judge at the club, then they would certainly fancy their chances of returning to the Championship at the first time of asking.

But it will be bitterly disappointing for Ipswich supporters to hear that the 30-year-old wants a move away from the club, as they were the team that took a chance on him in the first place.

It was no secret that Judge had his fair share of injury problems earlier in his career with Brentford, but Ipswich took a chance on him, and handed him regular opportunities in the Championship last term.

So supporters have got every right to feel aggrieved with this recent update, as they feel somewhat used by Judge, who is keen to move elsewhere after hearing of interest from other clubs.

Ipswich are hardly a sinking ship by any stretch of the imagination, and if anything, they'll be a club on the up, as they look to win promotion.

It seems hard to believe that Judge would be a regular starter for QPR next season as well, which makes it even more bizarre that he's keen to pursue a move to Loftus Road.

It remains to be seen as to whether the Hoops will reignite their interest in signing Judge again, which makes it a risky move by the Irishman to say that he wants to leave the club.
