Ipswich Town eyeing up loan move for West Ham United man

Published

on

Ipswich Town are looking to add further competition to their squad for the gruelling Championship season, with Sun Journalist Alan Nixon suggesting that they are looking at a loan move for promising West Ham winger Martin Samuelsen.

The Norwegian had a fairly successful loan spell in League One with Peterborough United last campaign, scoring a particularly memorable goal against Sheffield United and he went on to make 17 appearances for the Posh.

McCarthy may now deem Samuelsen ready to step up to Championship level as he continues his development, that may one day lead him to become a Premier League player at parent club West Ham.

Samuelsen has real trickery and skill out on the wing which will excite many Ipswich fans, where there have been murmurings of discontent over their more direct approach in recent years.

McCarthy’s men have made a solid, if unspectacular start to the Championship season so far, sitting on five points after four games.

Ipswich fans….What do you think? Would Samuelsen be a good addition? How many more players do you need before the window shuts? Let us know your thoughts and opinions in the comments below!
