Ipswich Town have extended the loan deals of midfielder Richard Chaplow and forward Luke Varney until the end of the season, reports TWTD.
The pair have impressed for Town since initially signing one-month loan deals from Millwall and Blackburn Rovers respectively and will remain at Portman Road until May 2, with an option in place to stay for the play-offs as well.
30-year-old Chaplow has made two starts and two substitute appearances for the Tractor Boys and scored a dramatic 95th minute winner against Watford on Saturday.
32-year-old Varney has made six appearances since joining from Rovers in January but has yet to score.
Promotion-chasing Ipswich occupy the last play-off place in the Championship and are just five points from second-place Watford.
Brentford are breathing down their necks as they are just one point behind Town in 7th place whilst Wolves are also chasing a play-off spot in 8th place.
Mick McCarthy’s men face league leaders AFC Bournemouth on Good Friday at Portman Road.
