Coulson was an impressive outlet during Jonathan Woodgate’s season in-charge of Boro, with the youngster featuring at left-back and on the left of midfield. He totalled 29 appearances in the Championship in 2019/20, but saw his game-time shrink significantly following Warnock’s appointment.
Last year, Coulson made 17 league appearances, but only five starts in the Championship as Boro flirted with challenging for the play-offs.
Warnock has now given his exit the green-light as he looks to go one better in 2021/22.
This is another big sign of intent coming out of Ipswich this summer.
Cook has been bullish with his summer business so far, pulling the trigger on a host of players and bringing in his own men.
