The Scotland under-21 international joined on the club a season-long loan deal from Premier League side Bournemouth and has impressed so far for Mick McCarthy’s side, scoring four goals in nine appearances.

The 21-year old suffered the injury while on international duty and it is a major blow for McCarthy as he has been a crucial part of the Tractor Boys’ creativity this season.

Fraser joined Bournemouth in 2013 after coming through the ranks at Scottish side Aberdeen and played over 70 times for Eddie Howe’s men as they secured promotion to the Premier League as champions last season.

Ipswich currently sit in 12th position in the Championship and are without a victory in three games after a strong start to the season.
