Ipswich Town have rejected a third bid from Queens Park Rangers for midfielder Alan Judge, according to reports from Football Insider.

The Irish playmaker has been heavily linked with a move to Loftus Road in recent times, with the player telling Tractor Boys boss Paul Lambert that he wants to leave Portman Road this summer.

The 30-year-old signed for Ipswich last January, and then penned a new two-year deal with the Suffolk club in April, despite them being relegated to League One after a dismal season in the Championship.

But his former manager, Mark Warburton, is understood to be a keen admirer of the attacking midfielder, with the R's already having two bids turned down for the former Brentford star.

Now, Football Insider claim that QPR have had a third bid turned down for Judge, believed to be in the region of around £600,000, with Ipswich still insisting that he is not for sale.

It is also claimed that QPR's pursuit of Judge has now ended, as the Tractor Boys look to cling onto their star-man ahead of their season opener against Burton Albion this weekend.

The Verdict

You have to say that you can't blame Ipswich one bit for wanting to keep hold of Judge.

He is easily one of their best players, if not their best, and he will light up League One if he stays next season.

If he does stay after all of this, then it's likely to raise eyebrows as he has already told Lambert that he wants to leave, so it remains to be seen whether Ipswich fans will take him back on board.

He's under contract, so why do Ipswich need to sell?
