Ipswich Town have another new player today with Kayden Jackson arriving from League One side Accrington Stanley.

The striker hit double figures for goals and assists last season as the men from the Wham Stadium earned promotion to the third tier of English football for the first time in their history.

They'll have to try and stay put in the league without one of their main strikers, though, with the Tractor Boys snapping him up - as confirmed on their official Twitter account:

Jackson is a player of obvious quality and he now gets his chance to really shine at a good level.

With Martyn Waghorn leaving the club for Derby, too, he should get a good chance to play regularly in the second tier as Paul Hurst's side continues to take shape.

The Verdict

Jackson might need a bit of time to adapt but he looks more than ready to make the step up.

Ipswich have gone down the route of bringing in good players from lower down the Football League and now it is up to Hurst to find a way for them to all click and start getting results.

It's an intriguing time at Portman Road.
