Championship clubs Ipswich Town and Preston North End are considering a move to sign Southend United winger Brandon Scott, according to HITC Sport.

Scott is one of the Football League’s hottest talents, and whilst he hasn’t been handed his Southend first team debut just yet, the 19-year-old has featured prominently for their Under-21 side.

The Englishman spent six years at Charlton, before finishing his development in Essex.

As well as the two Championship sides, it is believed that the bottom club in Sky Bet League One, Colchester United, are also interested in the young man’s signature.

A move to the Oysters would be the easiest for Scott, as he will stay reasonably close to home, but it is unknown which club he would favour a move to, if any.

Ipswich are currently ninth place in the Championship with 51 points from 33 games this season, with Preston just three points behind after an amazing first season back in the second tier.

Meanwhile, Southend currently sit in eighth spot in Sky Bet League One, and they face Crewe Alexandra at home in their next league fixture tonight.

Ipswich & Preston fans, what do you think? Would Scott be a good signing for the future?
