Crawley are keen to sign midfielder Armando Dobra on loan from Ipswich, journalist Alan Nixon has claimed.

A graduate of Ipswich's academy, Dobra has made ten appearances in all competitions for the Tractor Boys after forcing his way into the senior setup last season.

However, the 19-year-old has yet to feature in any of Ipswich's five league games this season, and it now seems as though Dobra could be set for a temporary move away from Portman Road this season in order to increase his game time.

According to Nixon's latest update, Crawley are keen to secure a loan deal for the Albanian youth international before the domestic transfer widow closes on Friday evening, as they look to strengthen their side in the final days of the market.

While Ipswich currently sit top of League One with four wins and a draw in the league this season, Crawley are 11th in League Two, with seven points from their five league games so far.

As things stand, there are still three years remaining on Dobra's contract with Ipswich, securing his future at the club until the end of the 2022/23 season.

The Verdict

This could be a decent move for Dobra and Ipswich.

It doesn't look as though the midfielder will be getting too many opportunities with Paul Lambert's side this season, considering the way they started without him.

As a result, a loan move elsewhere could suit the 19-year-old, due to the chance to pay regularly and improve his game it should provide him with.

However, Ipswich will not want to lose a player with his potential so early in his career, so a loan move certainly makes more sense than a permanent one here.
