Ipswich set to seal controversial move for 29-year-old strike ace

Ipswich Town could be set to make a move for out of contract Norwich City striker Kyle Lafferty, according to the Daily Mail.

The former Palermo and Rangers man has left Carrow Road following a largely disappointing spell with the Canaries, and he could now be set to sign for Mick McCarthy and the Tractor Boys, a move which would no doubt cause a stir in East Anglia.

Lafferty has made 58 appearances for Northern Ireland and has scored 20 goals for his country, a record which is better than many of his records at club level.

Ipswich are in the hunt for new players following a poor season last time out which saw them nowhere near the playoffs after becoming one of the Championship’s regular top six challengers.

Lafferty will be looking to finally find some form if a move to Ipswich goes through, after finding the net only twice for the Canaries during his time at Carrow Road.

Ipswich fans, what do you think to this? Would this be a good signing? Let us know in the comments!
