Ipswich Town could be set to lose goalkeeper Bartosz Bialkowski, with Crystal Palace set to make their move for the stopper.

According to the Croydon Advertiser, the experienced ‘keeper is wanted by Eagles manager Roy Hodgson as he looks to add some experience and competition between the sticks at Selhurst Park, and the Tractor Boys could be open to allowing Bialkowski to leave.

The 2014 signing has helped the East Anglia club to 10th in the Championship this term, keeping seven clean sheets along the way to furthe enhance his reputation as one of the most reliable performers in the Championship.

However, he would be hard pushed to turn down a move to the Premier League, and with Wayne Hennessey and Julian Speroni the only competition at Palace, Bialkowski could well fancy his chances of becoming the new number one under former England manager Hodgson.

Mick McCarthy’s men have struggled for consistency this season which their mid-table positon reflects, and losing Bialkowski will be a blow they could do without.
