Reports from the South London Press show that Ipswich are one of many clubs looking to sign Crystal Palace midfielder, Owen Garvan.
Garvan, a former Town player from 2005-2010 lost his place in the midfield at Palace last season after the Eagles flew to the Premier League, but squeezed in two appearances for them in the top flight, featuring in a 1-0 loss to Tottenham and a 2-1 defeat away to Stoke City.
However, these two appearances wasn’t enough for the Irishman, and after Ian Holloway’s departure from Selhurst Park, Tony Pulis needed to field out a strong experienced Premier League squad to avoid the drop, which resulted in the Dublin born player being sent out on loan to reunite with Ian Holloway at Millwall in February 2014, where he made 13 appearances without scoring.
Ipswich had also been linked with Garvan in February to sign him on loan for the remainder of the season, but personal terms could not be agreed, but various reports are revealing he has been in the Ipswich area this week, and at Ipswich’s training base, Playford Road, to re-enter talks with the Tractor Boys.
During Garvan’s five year spell with Ipswich, the midfielder made one-hundred and sixty-three appearances, netting thirteen times.
