Given his performances this season, it is no surprise to hear reports of Premier League clubs circling around Hull City, lining up huge bids to prize the Tigers' biggest asset, Jarrod Bowen, away from the KCOM Stadium.

With 21 goals, four assists and a place in the Championship Team of the Season all coming Bowen’s way this campaign, Hull fans will surely have been loving the 22-year-old’s performances this season, albeit whilst casting a worrying eye towards this summer’s now fast approaching transfer window.

Those concerns are now fast being realised by those of a Hull persuasion, with a number of Premier League clubs, including Tottenham and Everton,  already linked with a move for the attacker.

One of those top tier clubs thought to be considering a bid for Bowen to rival that of Spurs and The Toffees is Leicester City, with reports claiming that newly appointed Foxes boss Brendan Rodgers is “desperate” to land the 22-year-old.

Though it is not yet certain if they will, Bowen is a target that the Leicester must trust the judgement of their new appointment on, particularly for a reported fee of £15million, which in comparison to the prices being spent on other players in recent years, feels like an absolute bargain.

As has already been mentioned, Bowen has been in absolutely outstanding form for Hull this season, and Leicester must do all they can to get the attacker to the King Power Stadium while they can.

Leicester spent well when they delved into the Championship to swipe James Maddison last summer, and you feel that putting Bowen alongside him would create a fast, ruthless attacking duo capable of troubling any defence in the Premier League.

It would also solve the problem of replacing one of Leicester’s most popular current servants.

At 32-years-old, Jamie Vardy is slowly approaching the latter stages of his career, and recruiting Bowen now would be a masterstroke in terms of laying the foundations for the former England international’s replacement.

Vardy still has a few seasons left in his legs to teach Bowen all about the trials of the Premier League, and he does move on,

Bowen’s equally damaging ability to get in behind defences and finish from a variety of positions would mean that Leicester may not even notice Vardy’s absence at all.

It may not be easy for Leicester to pull it off, but if they do, it could keep the club competitive in the Premier League for many years to come.
