Sunderland's home win over Hull last weekend pushed them ahead of Birmingham City in the Championship table, which means they go into Tuesday's huge relegation clash at St Andrew's one point and one place ahead of the Blues.

Both clubs are still in the relegation zone going into the game and the winner could really propel themselves up the table, with the added bonus of pushing a relegation rival back into the mire.

So how should Sunderland approach the game? Their good result last week against Hull and lack of obvious options in reserve means that the large majority of the players who got the result against the Tigers deserve to keep their place.

The 3-5-2 shape that lets young guns Josh Maja and Joel Asoro off the leash together has to stay in place and in fact, I would only make one change.

Ethan Robson would probably feel it is harsh to exclude him but I would plump for the experience of Aiden McGeady in the number ten position, to try and get reliable service into the two livewire frontmen.

Behind that, it all stays the same, with George Honeyman alongside experienced battler Lee Cattermole in front of the same back five and goalkeeper that kept a clean sheet against Hull.

Sunderland have to fancy their chances as well, and I could see them sneaking a narrow victory, for what would be a massive win.
