Footage has emerged of Leeds United left-back Ezgjan Alioski teasing former Whites' teammate Aapo Halme before Sunday's clash with Barnsley.

Halme made the move from Elland Road to Oakwell during the summer and whilst the teams lined-up in the tunnel prior to the game, Alioski taunted the 21-year-old for not saying hello earlier in the day.

The video was shared on Twitter by Leeds fan @Blouface, after the footage had initally been uploaded by the club.

In the clip, Alioski is heard saying: "Aapo, you nervous? You don't say hello, man!"

Leeds came out on top in a tough encounter in the end, winning 2-0 thanks to Eddie Nketiah's strike and Mateusz Klich's penalty, which was conceded by Halme.

Halme joined the Whites from HJK Helsinki back in January 2018 but went on to make just five first-team appearances before Barnsley came calling this summer.

Since then, the Fin has played five times for Daniel Stendel including the entire 90 minutes in their last two league matches.

Next up for Leeds is the visit of Derby County, a team with whom they have plenty of recent history following the previous campaign.

The verdict

Alioski is such a livewire and you can see why Leeds fans like him so much.

So often footballer's end up becoming robotic in their personal actions so fans inevitably love it when they see their players having a bit of fun.

I doubt it was a comment that cut particularly deep for Halme anyway. He will be enjoying his first taste of regular football in England too much to notice.
