Leeds United drew 2-2 with Swansea City last night as they maintained their unbeaten start to the Championship season.

The Whites have been superb so far, but the victory was marred somewhat by the injury to key defender Liam Cooper in the warm up, meaning manager Marcelo Bielsa has some food for thought going into the final week of the transfer window.

There has been early calls that Bielsa will not make any rash moves, but we here at FLW think that Leeds do need to move for someone so Cooper's loss is not felt too much.

One man we think would make sense to come back to the club is Everton defender Matthew Pennington, who spent last season at Elland Road and was impressive enough in the main.

The 23-year-old is unlikely to get many chances at a revamped Everton this season, and he would no doubt jump at the chance of making a return to Leeds and getting some regular football under his belt.

Pennington is an excellent young defender and his return to Elland Road would no doubt be greeted openly, and it would make sense for the Whites to bring in someone who can slot straight into the squad and first XI with minimal fuss.

Leeds have made a nigh on perfect start, and they can't afford to let it slip. Signing Pennington could well help appease any fears of that slip, and he would be a superb addition for the Whites for the course of this season.

Leeds fans, what do you think? Would you welcome Pennington back? Let us know in the comments!
