York City have received the news that striker Wes Fletcher will be out for the remainder of the season.
Scans confirmed that the 23-year-old has suffered medial ligament and cartilage to his knee following a challenge from Ben Chorley in the 1-0 win over Portsmouth.
It is major blow for York who are in midst of six-game winning streak. Since signing from Burnley in the summer, Fletcher has scored 13 goals in both league and cup making York City's top scorer for the campaign.
