Leeds United returned to winning ways on Saturday as they defeated Bristol City 3-0 at Ashton Gate.

Goals from Samuel Saiz and Pierre-Michel Lasogga condemned the Robins to defeat, and it helped leave the Whites in fourth spot in the Championship table.

With the January window fast approaching, Leeds boss Thomas Christiansen will surely have one eye on it.

Leeds have been linked with a number of players, and two notable strikers that have been linked are Liverpool's Danny Ings and Manchester United striker James Wilson.

But out of the two, who should Leeds go for?

The writers here at FLW issue their verdicts......

Chris Gallagher

Ings, without a doubt.

Both players are coming off the back of serious injuries so there will be fitness concerns with either potential signing. However, when you examine the respective career paths of the two, it's not a contest about who is better.

Ings earned a move to Liverpool after hugely successful seasons at Burnley, whilst Wilson had a mediocre loan spell at Brighton. It's a big if, but if Ings is even close to the same player following his injuries, he would tear the Championship apart.

George Dagless

Ings all day.

The Liverpool forward is far better than James Wilson with all due respect and so if the Whites can get either, they have to go for the former Burnley man.

However, it is surely more likely that Wilson can be signed over Ings this January and so, though Ings should be prioritised, Wilson is more realistic.

Alfie Burns

Wilson is the more realistic option, but Ings would undoubtedly improve Leeds’ squad more.

Ings is an exceptional talent, and he would score the goals to put Leeds in serious promotion contention in the Championship. However, I can’t see him dropping out of the top-flight.

Wilson would be a good alternative, but I can see more foreign arrivals at Elland Road in January rather than domestic ones.
