Leeds United's Liam Cooper put in another fine display today as he captained the club for the 100th time to join a list of esteemed names at Elland Road.

A 1-0 win at Bristol City was the icing on the cake too for the skipper, who has grown into one of the finest defenders in the Championship in the last 12 months after being trusted by Marcelo Bielsa to lead the way for the Whites.

And Cooper's influence is clearly something which is appreciated throughout the team, as key defender Pontus Jansson took time out to respond to and praise Cooper on Twitter this evening.

Jansson and cooper have been key in what has been a superb season for Leeds this time around, and things like this show the togetherness and respect amongst teammates at Elland Road.

Cooper's form is going to be key going into the final ten games of the Championship season, and his partnership with Jansson is going to be vital if the club are to get over the line.

The Verdict

What a fine touch of class this is from Jansson, who is arguably the more talented defender out of the two.

It shows just what Leeds have got going on at the moment and Cooper will be pinching himself at the rise he has had.

If Cooper and Jansson keep up their form, there's no reason Leeds won't find themselves in the top flight next term.
