Nigel Farage’s claim that Theresa May’s Brexit deal is the worst in history has created plenty of reaction on social media, with the footballing world quick to jump on that debate.  

Leeds United have today weighed in on that debate, light-heartedly tweeting that the deal that saw Luciano Becchio head to Norwich and Steve Morison to Leeds was much worse.

In January 2013, Becchio headed to Carrow Road in a swap deal with Morison, who arrived at Elland Road with big shoes to fill.

Becchio had scored 86 goals for Leeds across five years, becoming a firm favourite at Elland Road.

That never happened for Morison, who passed through Leeds managing only five goals.

Now at Millwall, Morison isn’t a popular figure at Elland Road, which is reflected when he returns to Yorkshire with the Lions.

As expected, Leeds’ recent social media activity has received plenty of reaction.
