Sunderland fans have once again voiced their frustration with manager Jack Ross after they had to settle for a 1-1 midweek draw with Rotherham United.

They took the lead on Tuesday night with Marc McNulty notching his second of the season after just 31 seconds of play following a clever free-kick from Alim Ozturk.

Midway through the first-half they missed the perfect chance to make it 2-0 when Aiden McGeady saw his penalty saved after Lynden Gooch was brought down.

And they were made to pay for the miss just after the hour mark when Freddie Ladapo robbed Ozturk of possession, setting up Jake Hastie for a simple finish.

After drawing 19 of their league games last season, Sunderland fans will have been eager to see that change this season but they remain frustrated at their inability to kill games off.

And, for many, Ross is now on very thin ice...
