Despite netting a hat-trick in Reading's 5-1 demolition of Ipswich in front of the Sky cameras on Friday night, Royals forward Orlando Sa has  already begun to think about the visit of Paul Clement's Derby County to Reading on Tuesday night.

Sa is looking ahead to the match against Derby County

The 27-year-old Portuguese international has been in sparkling form since signing for the Berkshire-based outfit in the summer, scoring four goals in six games, and Sa was pleased with his and the team's performance against the Tractor Boys.

Speaking to the club's official site: “This league is tough – you need to be fit and to recover fast,” Sa stated  “I will enjoy the hat-trick for the evening, but the next day I will be thinking about the next game. Against Ipswich we played well for 90 minutes. Now we keep working to play like this for most of the games this season.”

Sa moved to Reading from  Legia Warsaw in June on a three-year deal for an undisclosed fee, and opened his account for the club prior to the international break against Brentford.

Now, following his superb hat-trick against Ipswich, Sa is looking for more, he added: "Strikers need the goals – but they can only score goals if there is good assistance,” he said. Against Ipswich I had great assistance from my team-mates so I want to say thank you to them".

“In this league strikers don’t have a lot of chances. When you have two chances, you need to score a minimum of one goal – I know this and I am trying hard in the week with my team-mates because we know we need to be fit and focused.”

Sa has previous experience of the rough and tumble of English football, having had a brief spell with Fulham during the 2011/12 season, making 12 appearances for the Cottagers and scoring just one goal.

Following his spell with Fulham, Sa had productive spells for AEL Limassol in Cyprus and Legia Warsaw in Poland, where 18 goals in 39 appearances and 14 goals in 33 appearances respectively earned him a move to Reading.

The Royals currently sit in ninth place in the Sky Bet Championship, and face a tough match against Derby County at the Madejski Stadium on Tuesday night.
