Leeds United striker Ryan Edmondson has sent a message to the club's fans on social media after his performance and goal for the Whites' under-23 side on Monday afternoon.

The 17-year-old opened the scoring as Carlos Corberan's side extended their unbeaten run to eleven matches with a hard-fought 2-2 draw against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

The forward put Leeds ahead after just four minutes with his 18th goal of the campaign, but the hosts were able to fight back.

After the match, the striker shared this post with his followers on his

It has been a good season for the Leeds under-23 side. They had already secured their place in the end-of-season play-offs and could end up facing Palace again in the semi-finals.

Edmondson has made two substitute appearances for the Leeds first-team, one against Birmingham in September and the other in the final match of last season.

The Verdict

This is encouraging news for Leeds United fans.

Edmondson is clearly a player with a lot of potential and if he continues to score goals for the under-23s, it might not be too long before we seem him staring for Marcelo Bielsa's first-team on a regularly basis.

For now, he's just got to keep doing what he's doing.
