Leeds United forward Kemar Roofe believes that the team are benefitting from the brave football that Marcelo Bielsa insists they play.

The renowned Argentinian coach has got the Whites playing some fantastic football so far, ensuring that they play out from the back and with a real intensity.

Whilst it brings risks, with Rotherham missing a sitter after a loose pass across goal yesterday, on the whole it has been a resounding success.

Roofe is one man who has benefitted, scoring his third goal of the season in the 2-0 win over the Millers yesterday to cap off a stunning team move.

And, he told the Yorkshire Evening Post that the manager still wants more from the team.

"He’s told us off before for not being brave enough. He wants us to be brave and he’s said if we’re not, that’s when we’re going to make mistakes or concede goals."

"Every time we’re on the grass we’re getting educated. He’s not a manager who’s praising you all the time. He’s got high demands and he wants us to improve."

The Verdict

You can't disagree with what Roofe says here and it's clearly working after another impressive result at Elland Road yesterday.

Bielsa obviously deserves huge credit as he is clear on his philosophy and is a great manager but the players also warrant praise for carrying out his methods.

Recent results should give the team confidence that this is the right approach and it is an exciting time for the club.
