The play-off places have now been confirmed, with two Championship heavyweights set to face off for a place at Wembley this month.

Aston Villa and West Brom go head-to-head at the weekend, where two of the most clinical forwards in the Championship will face off.

Both Tammy Abraham and Dwight Gayle have been key to the success of their respective teams this season, and will be hoping to cap off an impressive season with promotion back into the Premier League.

We compare the two strikers' statistics from this year's league campaign, in today's Football League World player duels.

The statistics make impressive reading for both players, but it's Abraham that edges it in the majority of these figures.

The on-loan Chelsea forward has played 37 games in total (two less than Gayle), and has netted 25 goals in total this season for Dean Smith's side.

Whilst Gayle has netted 23 himself, but you do have to consider that he has to share the striking positions alongside Jay Rodriguez.

Abraham edges it on assists as well, with three compared to Gayle's two.

Abraham's aerial presence is clear to see as well, as he wins an average of 2.9 duels per game, with Gayle struggling to make one per game.

Gayle attempts an average of 2.4 shots per game, whereas Abraham makes an average of almost three shots.

But one statistic that Gayle beats Abraham in is his pass success rate, with the Baggies striker having a pass success rate of 75.6% compared to Abraham's 69.4% this season.

Both players will be vital to their chances of winning promotion to the Premier League, although there will only be a place for one team at Wembley as they target a return back into the top-flight.
