Brentford FC's official Twitter account has confirmed that former star Moses Odubajo is training with the club.

Brentford shared pictures of Odubajo in training as he steps up his return to full fitness.

The 24-year-old has been sidelined for two years following a serious injury while at Hull City.

And despite being offered a new contract at the KCOM Stadium this summer, Odubajo has decided to pursue his career elsewhere with other options.

The marauding right-back, who often plays on the wing as well, was a target for Celtic and trained with them for a bit.

But the Scottish Premiership champions had their concerns about his fitness and have now dropped their interest in him.

The former Leyton Orient academy product is also a target for Aston Villa as Steve Bruce knows him from their time together at Hull and the Villans are forced to rely on free transfers and loans this summer.

Odubajo is now training with Brentford, though, sparking rumours that the Bees could hold an interest in him.

The former England under-20 international scored three goals in 49 games for Brentford after switching from League One football in East London to Championship football in West London.

He then moved to Hull the following year but injuries have held back his progress so he is training with Brentford in pre-season to earn a contract somewhere.

The Verdict

A move for Odubajo is worth the risk for Aston Villa or Brentford.

Brentford know all about the pacey full-back's talents and would love him back.

Villa can do a lot worse with the free transfers that are around and Odubajo is the perfect age to now kick on for Bruce's men - if he can stay fit.
