Charlton Athletic starlet Ademola Lookman has been nominated for the London Football Awards 2016 – Young Player of the Year.
Lookman, 18, striker has enjoyed a bright start to his Addicks career, finding the back of the net four times in eight outings for the club, and the striker has attracted major interest from Premier League sides Arsenal, Manchester City and Crystal Palace.
Lookman has been with Charlton since 2014, joining from local youth side Waterloo FC, an amateur side based in the Lambeth area of London.
Charlton currently sit bottom of the Championship league table, and although Addicks fans haven’t had much to cheer about this season, keeping hold of their speedy striker in the transfer window last month will surely come as a huge relief.
Also nominated for the Young Player of the Year award is Tottenham duo Dele Alli and Eric Dier, Arsenal right-back Hector Bellerin and Fulham forward Moussa Dembele.
The Addicks currently sit bottom of the Sky Bet Championship, after a miserable campaign which has seen them struggle to maintain any form of consistency.
