Middlesbrough and Millwall are interested in signing Nottingham Forest midfielder Ryan Yates, according to the Mirror's live transfer blog (15/09, 10:16).

Yates has been a regular under Sabri Lamouchi this season, featuring in both of Forest's opening two fixtures of the 2020/21 campaign against QPR and Barnsley.

Last season, the midfielder scored three goals in 28 appearances for the Reds, battling his way into the team after spending the first half of the season out injured.

His performances over the past couple of seasons have divided the opinions amongst the Forest faithful, but there can be no denying that he is rated highly by Lamouchi and the coaching staff.

Last season, Yates signed a new deal with the club, keeping him at the City Ground until 2023, however he is now said to be attracting interest from other Championship sides.

According to the Mirror's live transfer blog, Middlesbrough and Millwall are interested in signing the midfielder before the transfer window closes.

The two clubs are said to be considering making bids of around £1.5million rising up to £2million, and it will be interesting to see whether they tempt Forest into selling.
