Leeds United will be hoping they can get over the line in their bid to win promotion into the Premier League under the guidance of Marcelo Bielsa.

The Whites are currently sat top of the Championship table, and are seven points clear of third-placed Fulham with just nine matches remaining this term, as they edge closer to a long-awaited return to the top-flight.

However, that push for promotion has been put on hold for the time being, with recent off-the-field events calling a halt to competitive action in the UK.

One player that will be keen to play his part in the final nine matches of the season is Tyler Roberts, who has struggled for consistent minutes with Bielsa's side.

The former West Brom man has made 14 appearances in all competitions this season, and has chipped in with three goals for the Yorkshire-based side.

Speaking in a Q&A with Leeds' official Twitter account, Roberts revealed that he would have to pick Wales team-mate and Real Madrid star Gareth Bale over Pablo Hernandez if he had to choose between the two.

"I've got to go Bale! Pablo is a special player and has done a lot of great things but Bale is just in a different world isn't he compared to most players in the world so I'd have to go with Bale."

The Verdict:

I have to agree with Roberts here!

Hernandez has been absolutely brilliant for Leeds, and without his contribution this season, I don't think the Whites would be in the strong position they find themselves in at the moment.

But Bale is in a completely different league when it comes to quality, and I'm expecting him to play a key role for both Real Madrid and Wales in the coming years.

Roberts will be hoping he can be given a chance to impress for Leeds when competitive action does get back underway.
