Plenty of West Bromwich Albion fans have taken to Facebook to discuss Connor Townsend's recent performances at left-back.

The 26-year-old has made five appearances for West Brom in the Championship this term, but he's struggled to get into the team due to the form of Nathan Ferguson - who has impressed hugely since breaking into the first team this season.

However, Ferguson was sent off in the 2-2 draw with Charlton Athletic a couple of weeks ago, meaning that Townsend has had the opportunity to impress head coach Slaven Bilic by starting the last two matches at left-back.

The defender has impressed with his performances, helping the Baggies pick up back-to-back wins and keep successive cleans sheets against Stoke City and Hull City.
