Aston Villa kept open their hopes of automatic promotion last night as they dispatched Leeds United with relative ease at Villa Park thanks to a Lewis Grabban winner.

Grabban's goal was enough for the home side to hold onto a 1-0 scoreline and move the Midlands club within touching distance of both Cardiff City and Fulham in the automatic promotion spots.

However, once again it was the performance of English midfielder Jack Grealish what caught the eye, and respected statistics website whoscored.com tweeted an interesting stat following the game showing just how important Grealish was again.

The stats add further weight to those who have claimed for many a season that Grealish is Premier League quality, and his showings for Steve Bruce's men over the last few months have been nothing short of brilliant.

Grealish broke into the Villa side with the club still in the top flight, but struggled at the beginning of this campain with various injury and off field complaints. He has though, come to the fore since the turn of the year and now looks set to be a key man for Villa during their final few games as they seek promotion.

Villa fans, just how good has Grealish been? Let us know in the comments!
