Reading are looking as though they're going to be busy in the final days of the transfer window.

It's been a pretty quiet month for the Royals so far but they appear to have woken up with Tommy Elphick arriving on loan today from Aston Villa.

He'll surely have his role to play in helping the club up the league table and now it looks as though Jaap Stam is aiming to add to his attacking options.

The club hasn't scored enough goals this season, that is for sure, and with them clearly possessing money they have made an ambitious and impressive bid for Jordan Hugill - as per Ed Aarons on Twitter:

The striker is out of contract in the summer and it could well be that he decides to move on from the Deepdale side.

This month represents the last chance for the club to cash in on him, then, but it looks as though they are rejecting the chance to so far with them turning down this bid.

Certainly, though, he's a quality player that would get Reading up the league and it remains to be seen if they move in with a new bid worth money.
