Middlesbrough defender George Friend is wanted by Burnley, according to the Daily Mail.
The impressive defender was one of the standout performers for Boro last term despite their relegation back to the Championship, and now it appears that Clarets manager Sean Dyche wants to add him to the ranks at Turf Moor.
The 29-year-old made just shy of 30 appearances for the Boro last season, and barring injury during the middle of the campaign, would surely have seen the season out as a first team regular.
A move back to the top flight would be just rewards though for Friend, who arguably deserves to be in the top flight following his excellent run of consistent form over the last three seasons at the Riverside.
Burnley manager Dyche is keen to add new faces to his squad as he looks to keep them in the Premier League once more, with defenders a top priority as rumours continue to swirl around the future of centre back Michael Keane.
Boro fans, what do you think to this? Good move for Friend, or sad to lose him? Let us know in the comments!
