With star striker Marc McNulty departing to Championship Reading, Coventry fans are more interested in this summer's window than ever.

The Sky Blues received a healthy lump for the 25-year-old and will be looking to reinvest it throughout their squad.

But there could also be more outgoings at the Ricoh Arena as well.

Coventry impressed a lot last season and there were a few star performers from their dominant playoff displays who could also be catching the eye of those further up the Football League pyramid.

So here are the latest rumours coming out of the West Midlands club.

One man who has been touted as a replacement for Marc McNulty is Portsmouth's Conor Chaplin.

The Sky Blues have had an initial bid of around £250,000 rejected for the 21-year-old, but Pompey are apparently still willing to listen to improved bids for the striker.

A transfer that could be completed soon is the signing of Wolves U23 winger Daniel Armstrong.

The 20-year-old has been on trial with Coventry and played 45 minutes of the Sky Blue's friendly defeat to Sutton United, although the winger would initially join Coventry's development squad.

Bids could soon be coming in for young midfielder Tom Bayliss as well.

Mark Robins rejected two bids from Derby County in January for the 18-year-old with one apparently in the region of £1million.

So it will take a lot for Coventry to part with their rising star, but interest could well intensify again soon.
