Sheffield Wednesday enjoyed a good day on Saturday, as they picked up their first win of the League One season with a 2-0 victory over Doncaster Rovers at Hillsborough.

Goals from Barry Bannan and Dennis Adeniran were enough to secure all three points for the Owls, earning victory for manager Darren Moore against his former club.

For Adeniran, his strike was something of a landmark, going down as his first Sheffield Wednesday goal following his move to the club on a free transfer earlier this summer.

The first goal in the 06/07 season came in the third game, a 1-1 draw with Burnley. Who struck for the Owls?

That strike from Adeniran capped off another impressive performance in the centre of the park for the 22-year-old, who played an important role throughout the 90 minutes in helping his side to control the game.

The midfielder’s performance certainly did not go unnoticed among the Wednesday fanbase, with plenty keen to pay tribute to Adeniran as they took to Twitter to give their thoughts on the game.

Here, we take a look at what some of those Owls fans had to say about Adeniran’s latest outing.
