QPR striker Lyndon Dykes helped Scotland qualify for what will be their first major tournament in 23 years last night and many fans of the west London club have been raving about his performance.

Scotland beat Serbia on penalties to secure their place at next summer's European Championships, which will be the country's first major tournament since 1998.

Ryan Christie put Steve Clarke's men ahead but Luka Jovic's late equaliser took the game to first extra time and then a shootout that was won by the Scots.

Dykes could only watch from the bench at that point, having been replaced by Oli McBurnie after 83 minutes, but he will no doubt look back proudly on what was a sensational display.

The 25-year-old started up top alongside Christie and was hugely influential as a target man, winning 15 aerial duels and bringing his teammates into play time and time again.

The striker joined the R's from Livingston for £2 million in the summer and after last night's display, it's a move that looks a real bargain for the Championship club.

Did these 17 QPR players ever actually score a league goal for the club?

His performance certainly appears to have pleased supporters of the west London club, with many taking to Twitter to voice their thoughts.
