Reading were forced to settle for a point on Saturday afternoon, as they drew 1-1 with QPR at the Madejski Stadium.

The Royals would have been eager to get back to winning ways, as they look to pick up much-needed points in the race to finish in the top-six this term.

But Veljko Paunovic's side fell behind after a well-worked QPR move resulted in Lyndon Dykes firing home the opener shortly before half-time.

Yakou Meite's persistence paid off in the second-half though, as the Ivorian international equalised for the Royals after 57 minutes.

But they weren't able to find the winner that they were pushing for, with QPR having the better of the chances in the final 15 minutes of the contest.

The stalemate means that Reading remain sixth in the Championship table, and are just three points clear of AFC Bournemouth, who have a game in hand on the Berkshire-based side.

One player that caught the eye on his return to the starting XI was Ovie Ejaria, with the midfielder having a positive impact both in defence and attack.

The former Liverpool midfielder caused QPR a number of problems with his trickery on the ball going forward, but also chipped in with two interceptions and two tackles during the match to help his side out defensively. (Sofascore)

Plenty of Reading supporters took to social media to react to Ejaria's recent display against Mark Warburton's side.
