‘Immense’, ‘Beast’ – These Bristol City fans are loving one player’s recent display in win over Derby

Bristol City kept up the pressure on their promotion rivals as they ran out narrow 1-0 winners over Derby County at Ashton Gate on Saturday.

Famara Diedhiou scored the only goal of the match for the Robins, as they moved up to third in the Championship table after their opening 12 matches of this year’s campaign.

It now means that Bristol City have won their last three matches in the second-tier which has seen them move to within a single point of league-leaders Norwich City.

One player that caught the eye with a hugely impressive performance for Dean Holden’s side was young defender Zak Vyner, who nullified the threat posed from the likes of Martyn Waghorn and Tom Lawrence.

It was Vyner’s 15th appearance of the season for the Robins first-team, and he’ll be eager to continue to impress for them as the season heads towards the hectic festive period.

The defender took to Twitter following the win over Derby, and was clearly delighted to pick up three points from the match on Saturday.

Plenty of Bristol City supporters were quick to respond to his message, as they praised the defender for his performance against the Rams.

Take a look at the best of the reaction from Twitter below….
