The Midlands has got plenty to shout about in the Championship this season, well concerning Wolves and Aston Villa at least.

Whilst Birmingham flounder, both the Villans and Wolves have been excellent and there is a real case to suggest that both will go up come the end of the campaign.

What if Villa go up and Wolves don't though? Will Steve Bruce look to poach some stars from the Black Country side? We've had a think about who he'd most likely like to have from Wolves' great side.

Alfie Burns

It would have to be Diogo Jota, who is probably the Championship’s standout player this season.

The Portuguese forward brings goals and assists, and his partnership with Leo Bonatini at Molineux is one of many reasons why Nuno’s side are in the hunt for promotion.

Jota could strike up a similar partnership with Jonathan Kodjia if he was at Villa Park.

If Bruce had Jota available to him, the likelihood is we would see Villa pushing the top-two more.

Chris Gallagher

Obviously, everyone in the Championship would love the likes of Diogo Jota, Ruben Neves and Willy Boly.

However, even though the club's are highly unlikely to deal with each other in January, a move for Kortney Hause would be the best option that is more realistic.

Villa are short in defence and Wolves aren't. That's the only reason the England U-21 international isn't playing as he is very good at this level and could be open to playing first-team football elsewhere.

Adam Simeoni

Leo Bonatini.

Imagine him up front with Jonathan Kodjia! That partnership would surely bag you close to 50 goals a season on its own.

The pair are sensational in front of goal, and Bruce would love to have the Brazilian alongside his Ivorian goal machine.
