Leeds United is a club steeped in history, with a number of high-profile footballers playing for the club in their 98-year history.

A lot of the club’s most successful players have gone on to manage the club, with Don Revie, Billy Bremner, Allan Clarke and Gary McAllister some of the most high-profile names on that list.

All of the four mentioned above were incredible leaders at Elland Road during their playing days, something Thomas Christiansen’s current crop of players seem short of.

With that in mind, we take a look at which of Christiansen’s current group have the attributes to take the step into management…

Chris Gallagher

I'd go for Stuart Dallas.

The Northern Irishman plays with great tactical awareness, both for club and country and understands his role in the team.

That combined with a great work ethic, suggests to me he knows the game and would develop as a manager.

There's a long time left in his playing career yet, but it will be interesting to see what he does after.

Sam Rourke

Eunan O'Kane.

Having met O'Kane briefly in the past, he has such a wise head on young shoulders.

The Irishman is humble, down to earth and is intelligent - you get the impression he'd make a fantastic manager in the future.

This has got me thinking though, imagine Gaetano Berardi as a manager?!

George Dagless

Eunan O'Kane or Pontus Jansson.

Depending on what you want from a manager, these two would probably suit the role best.

O'Kane seems like the kind of player that would become a methodical, tactically astute manager who plans every detail. Jansson, meanwhile, would connect with his players and motivate them brilliantly, so it's one of that pair.

Adam Simeoni

Berardi.

The tough-tackling Swiss defender has the passion and drive to become a real motivator, which is an excellent characteristic for any aspiring manager.

If he can calm his temper and gather his thoughts in a positive manner, then Berardi could become a leader in the future.
