The Sky Bet Championship returns this weekend, with Nottingham Forest looking to continue the excellent form they showed prior to the international break against Birmingham City.

Mark Warburton’s side have won three of their last four Championship fixtures, which has helped to move Forest into top-six contention.

Forest demolished QPR 4-0 in their last outing, and here at FLW, we are not expecting to see any changes from the side that won so convincingly at the City Ground prior to last weekend’s break.

Jordan Smith will be expected to continue in goal, behind a back-four of Armand Traore, Michael Mancienne, Joe Worrall and Eric Lichaj, who put in a convincing performance against QPR last time out.

Ahead of that defensive unit sat Ben Osborn and Liam Bridcutt, who were also impressive, indicating to Warburton that they should be his first choice midfield duo.

However, against QPR, the most pleasing aspect of the performance was Forest’s attacking play, particularly the trio playing behind Daryl Murphy. Barrie McKay, Kieran Dowell and Tyler Walker were all exceptional, with each of the three chipping in with a goal and causing Ian Holloway’s side numerous problems.

It would be extremely surprising if Warburton does not go with the trio again this weekend against Birmingham, whilst Murphy should once again continue as the lone striker ahead of £900k-rated Jason Cummings.
