Yohan Benalouane hasn't had the best of luck since joining Nottingham Forest in the January transfer window.

He has only been part of the squad for one win after joining, and has been sent off, suffered a broken bone and landed a nasty cut since arriving at the City Ground.

One of the defender's injuries was picked up in a 3-1 win over Wigan a fortnight ago, but he managed to get through the full 90 minutes.

He has posted a positive update on the injury on his

Forest have won just one of their last four league games, and are in desperate need of an all-important three points against Brentford this weekend.

Benalouane is unavailable for this weekend's game against Brentford after he was sent off in the closing stages in their last game against Birmingham for a deliberate handball.

He'll be hoping to play his part in their push for the play-offs when he returns to the side for their game against West Brom in midweek.

The Verdict

It's encouraging that he'll be able to play on despite this injury.

There would have been concerns that he wouldn't be able to feature for the Reds, which would have been a blow ahead of some crucial fixtures.

He can be a crucial member of the Forest squad, and his experience in the team will be important as they fight for a top six finish.
