Leeds United midfielder Mateusz Klich has announced a new arrival for himself, in the shape of two new pairs of football boots.
The 29-year-old scored 10 league goals for Marcelo Bielsa's side last season, earning himself the 'Klich is scoring goals' chant from the United faithful.
So far this term, Klich has failed to live up to last season's scoring exploits having only managed three league goals.
The Polish midfielder has not found the net for the Whites in nine league appearances now, since his brace in the 4-0 win over Middlesbrough in November.
The 29-year-old is also lacking in assists this season with just one to his name so far, compared to the six he had at this stage last season.
No United player has managed to score a goal in 2020, and it's only thanks to a Semi Ajayi own goal in the 1-1 draw with West Brom that Leeds have a goal to their name this calendar year.
On Wednesday, Mateusz Klich shared on his Instagram story that he had received two new pairs of Nike football boots, writing on the post: "Shooting boots have arrived, don't worry."
Leeds must work hard on their shooting over the next six days before they entertain Millwall at Elland Road, and with Patrick Bamford struggling to score goals, fans will look to other areas of the team to find the back of the net.
The Verdict
Leeds fans will be desperate to see the club sign a striker before the end of the transfer window but will also be hoping that the rest of the team can start improving their tally.
The 29-year-old has potentially shown that he acknowledges the need for goals at Elland Road, and fans will hope his words on Instagram will speak for themselves on the pitch.
Klich was United's third top scorer last season and would be one of the players that fans may expect to step up a little bit over this dry spell.
The Whites simply cannot afford to carry on in this form and fans will be hoping that Klich's new boots help in someway improving his tally this term.
