Luke Ayling and his family are working to help Leeds United secure the service of Kyle Bartley this summer.

It was reported by the Yorkshire Evening Post last month that Leeds were in the hunt to re-sign Bartley this summer, as they looked to bounce back following a disappointing year in the Sky Bet Championship.

Bartley previously spent the 2016/17 campaign on-loan with Leeds, where he was reunited with his long-term friend, Ayling.

The two are now on holiday together, with Ayling’s partner sharing an Instagram story alongside Bartley with the hashtags, working on it and LUFC – via @WALM0T33.

Bartley agreed a new deal with Swansea City last summer, which still has three years remaining on it.

Despite that, Bartley is reportedly keen on a return to Elland Road to link back up with Leeds, who he made 50 appearances for under Garry Monk.

Leeds’ campaign under Monk, with Bartley at the heart of defence, saw the Whites finish seventh in the Championship table and challenge for the play-offs for the majority of the campaign.

The Verdict

Leeds’ supporters will love to see this.

The majority at Elland Road want Bartley back on board after such a big impact under Monk.

Hopefully for Leeds, the defender’s relationship with Ayling and his family will convince him to return.

Re-signing Bartley will be a major step in the right direction for Leeds this summer.
